Deep Litter Method Ventilation Question

Good luck. I am also new and attempting to do the deep litter method. It has been 3-4 months and we have not cleaned out our coop. I toss in a few hand fulls of fresh pine shavings each week and a little bit of chicken scratch to encourage them to mix it up. So far so good. here is a link to our setup.
As I said I am not speaking as an expert with years of experience. Ventilation is super important but I do think another key factor is to be generous with the litter. I watch someones video suggest you need 20-1 ratio of litter to manure. So for every unit of manure you need 20 units of litter.

I don't know if that much is always necessary, but it is definitely necessary to have enough volume of bedding in the coop to dry out the amount of manure that's produced quickly.

Typical brown to green ratio is 20-30 to 1 for composting.

Honestly, I am not sure how to measure or gauge such a ratio.. But I think the take away is if you are going to do deep litter, don't skimp on the litter.
