Our chickens free range and at night are in a metal shed with a cement floor - it's been really wet lately and 2 corners of the coop are getting damp on the floor. We've tried several solutions and improved the issue but I'm wondering if I can try using the DLM with shavings? I know it works best on dirt floors (which surely would carry moisture?), would it work ok in my coop???

Thanks!

I wouldn't do deep litter on concrete as it won't compost it will mold. Best you can do is try to stop the water coming in or to change your bedding more often. Another option is using sand.

My bantam coop has some water that comes in during heavy rains, so I'm familiar with what you are dealing with. We use barn lime to dry out wet floors, and change the bedding when it gets too wet or starts to smell.
