Have you thought about running some strips of bright fabric through the fencing, so it's not quite as invisible? You can also try planting some vines to climb it. There are old-fashioned climbing nasturtiums that grow fast and are not toxic if eaten.

Those are good ideas as well. The flowers would certainly be the prettiest option if it was going to be up for a season, and fabric, or maybe even survey tape, would probably really help as well.
