Deer Ticks / Chickens with Swollen eyes

I have been have the same problem and her Eyes looks the same as your hope we also have a lot of black flies and horse fly I was wondering a bout the Neosporin wasn't sure If I could use it so close to there eyes ??

I have the same problem with the nymph ticks. I think they can pull them off other areas of their body but not their face. I have a lot of wild barberry bushes and they attract ticks. As for the swollen eyes eye bubbles and whatnot. Could it be signs of CRD?

You have to be careful using insecticides around chicken. Permethrin is one that is fairly safe, and it comes in a dust at feed stores, or a ready to use spray. This thread is already about 9 years old, so I don’t know if the OP is active or not.
