I'm not sure whats happening... I had 4 girls who started laying less and less. I live in SW Florida where it's pretty hot and humid and rainy right now (not sure if that matters). I just got back from a 10 day vacation and the person looking after them said lots of eggs were laid with a very soft shell or no shell at all. Last night we had a gruesome oppossum attack and one of my girls didn't make it. Today, I found one of these so-called "deflated" eggs. It's like the membrane that is just inside the shell and the white and the yolk but no shell. I'm not sure if this is stress related or what. We've already been crushing up egg shells and feeding it to them for extra calcium. What else should I do? Is something wrong?? I feel like I'm not doing something right.

Thanks,

^ Agree. If there isnt enough calcium in their diet then the eggs will lack the calcium to have tougher shells. Oyster shells are probably the best option
