Deformed egg - is this a problem?

Hi all, I found this egg today at 110g, it is almost definitely from my Pekin Snow. Although it looks thin shelled, the whole thing is actually quite firm and solid. They area at the top is probably thinner, but it holds up to moderate pressure from my thumb without cracking and I didn't feel like and egg at the moment, so I didn't push harder.

This is the second egg I have found like this in two weeks which is why I am asking about it.

...and flipped around...

My guess is that either she moved bumped into something or our overzealous drake jumped on her right when the shell was first starting to form distorting the egg then the shell continued forming around the distorted egg until it was fully formed and ready to come out. But I don't know much about possible complications so I am putting this out there for people with more experience than I to look at.

Snow is walking around fine - perfectly normal with no signs of distress. And is laying regularly. She seems her happy normal self. I am thinking the cause might be that she plows over everything all the time / our hormonally over active Drake, but don't want to blow it off if it could be something serious.

Deformed eggs aren't usually a problem, often just an odd formation in the shell gland of the reproductive system. They are classified as Grade B. I've gotten several from my chickens over the years, and am assuming it isn't different for waterfowl.

Thanks for your reply. I am expecting no big deal - she puts out plenty of beautiful eggs, but since I had gotten 2 of these in a reasonably short time, I wanted to see if it was a red flag for anyone.

We have had a few odd ones from time to time - one of the ducks we lost to E.Y.P. did have some weird eggs, often not closed at one end. The other E.Y.P. duck had nothing unusual about her eggs.

And Romy has ahd some weird ones, and she is fine - five years old.

So far Snow is not lethargic and her belly seems normal and she is as argumentative as always. She was swimming around today having a blast and she has to get her butt up a 4 foot high ramp to go swimming - no problem there. No signs of egg parts in her poop either.

I would just watch out for that far-away look and lethargy - those are the earliest warning signs I know of. Pet Duck was able to save Quackers when the latter had E.Y.P.
