Dehorning male pygmy goats?

I got my goats today, I'm not going to dehorn or neuter him. My female is so sweet! She follows you like a mother!

Do you have any idea, any idea at all, what a mature buck in rut is like?

I agree that intact make goats are not fun. They stink and they urinate all over themselves. You will also have to keep the male and female separate. I would definitely consider castration if this is your first goat! It will be much easier while he's young.

Buck goats are nasty and stinky. It's been years since I had one, and years since I had a collar on one but the collar I used still stinks like a buck more than a decade later. They can occasionally be aggressive too.

Breeding can turn out bad, with dead kids and dead does, so if you value your goats as pets get your little boy neutered and he will stay a nice boy.
