Dehydrated Quail

Please help. My son did not water the quail when asked and they got dehydrated and stopped laying eggs. That was 2 days ago. They were without any water for 36 hours. Does anybody know how long this recovery period might be?

Depends on the health of the birds, their age and how dehydrated they actually got. However they should recover soon, as long as they are back to eating and drinking. Make sure the hens have access to calcium.

Thank you! I am so happy I found this site. I don't usually spend much time on the internet but glad I did. My quail are healthy and about 8 wks old. While we were at church they did lay 2 eggs so I feel better already. I love watching them! They are so funny!
