Furiously Foraging
Any thoughts from current or previous owners?
They'll be in a mixed flock of 8. No two birds will look alike, and a white chicken will help round out that roster. I'll have dual 200 sqft pens with a chunnel connector, no free-range option. We prefer a chicken that gets along well with others, lays consistently through the year, and isn't overly broody.
So far, the rest of the lineup includes a Speckled Sussex, 3 different colors of Orpington, Barnevelder, Welsummer, and Black Australorp. This might change once the farm store releases their chick forms, where I'd likely sub in a Bielefelder for the Welsummer.
