I have a broody on two eggs, and apparently one hatch last night or early morning. How long should it take for the other to start pipping? And when is a hatch considered delayed? I'm excited(they're sex linked silkie X leghorn) but don't want one of them to be dead!

There's no way to tell. Did the hen start sitting on them at the same time? Were the eggs the same age (from lay date)?
A hen will sit for a couple days after the first hatch unless she can tell there's no peeping or movement.

They do have same lay date. So I guess I'll just wait.
