Delayed or partial feather growth?

My husband and I incubated eggs from our personal flock. 26 hatched and we anticipated different color variations because we have a Light Brahma too with several RIR, White Leghorn, and Barred rock hens. They’re 6 weeks old now. But I’ve noticed some strange feather growth from 2 of the LB x BR chicks. I’m adding photos. I guess my question would be will they ever grow those feathers normally? I’m not concerned with their health but they look like Turkens haha. Just wondering what would cause the delay or only partial feather growth?

Looks like awkward juvenile stage to me. Pattern doesn't appear to be feather pecking.

Sometimes there will be featherless gaps for a time after chick down transitions to feathers.
I'm seeing a lot of pin feathers for feathers to grow in. I will assume you have them on 18% protein chick feed, as they will need that to grow feathers and grow.

Also, I'm pretty sure you created sex links with this pairing between the LB roo and BR and RIR hens, as I'm pretty sure Light Brahma is silver based.

So this black chick should be female. Blacks will be female of LB/BR while head dots and barring to come will be male.

LB/RIR will produce yellow down male chicks (to turn silver) and red-gold female chick down to turn gold/red base.

Well dang... didn’t realize they were possibly sex links! Thanks for all the info, I appreciate it. Those 2 are the only ones like that and I just wondered if it was bad genes or something.
Thanks again!!

Could be something amiss in the genes, or the fact that BR are slow feathering and they took after momma more. That is why the barring gene appears as crisp bars on Barred Rocks as they are slow feathering to allow the de-pigmentation to line up. Fast feather growing produces cuckoo with a barring gene.

Watch. It could be something genetically amiss, but at this age and stage, I've had odd balls.
