We have so many members now and a post can woosh past the new post pages so fast that it sometimes gets missed. Maybe the title you posted didn't intice anyone to open it.
If it was an emegency post you could always go back to the thread and ask something like "hey anyone?" and this would bump it up to the top again.
I myself when looking for post will look to see if there has been any post that haven't been answered and try to help with these post if I have the knowledge to do so.

Good luck and don't give up. Just understand that this forum is huge and we are all like a family and all want to help each other. I'm sure others feel bad to for missing your original post.
