Delewares

Can Deleware chicks be colored sexed?
I hatched two out of four (got the eggs off of ebay).
One is completely yellow the other has some black stripes on it's back.

pm Speckledhen, she has Delawares- I think walkswithdogs has them, too. They would know for sure; I know there are more people on here with them, but those are the only two I remember right now.
I would like to know also, as I am pretty sure I want to get some!

Nope, sorry. Later, the males usually get more shoulder markings than the females, though.

I wish. My first two were an all yellow and a black striped but it just means wait and see what the feathers tell you. Cute though eh??

I know a couple of the sellers have Dels from different hatcheries, and the seller I got eggs from said her Dels are from a breeder.
Some of the hatchery Dels I have seen as chicks do seem to have alot of black or dark markings, so I would think their offspring would throw chicks with similar markings. I don't know if this info helps, but I hope so.

We are watching Delaware eggs on E-Bay. Who was the seller if you don't mind telling. We have RIR's hatching right now trying to locate Delawares soon to keep ages close.
