I am a first time user of Denagard. I have read some conflicting advice on using this with my mixed flock of chickens and ducks.
I have something respiratory going on with my chickens and since everyone is housed together I was going to use Denagard with the whole flock to cure/prevent whatever is going on.
Can both chickens and ducks use Denagard? Someone said that ducks need half of the treatment dose???
Is the treatment dose 2 Tablespoons per gallon of water?
Also, someone said I shouldn’t house ducks and chickens together as that could be why my ducks are sick-is there any truth to this?
I do not have a way to separate the ducks and chickens. Thanks for any help.

Any help??? I would really like to know if it’s safe to use with my ducks.

I can't answer your question, but I was wondering if you'd figured anything out? I've had a few issues with respiratory issues with my flocks, so I'm moving their coops and runs to a dryer area, but I was also thinking about maybe regularly treating them for respiratory issues with denagard. I live on an island in Maryland, so everything is always damp because it's always humid and, well, because we'll be under water in twenty years (if we're lucky).

Just wondering if you'd learned anything!

TYIA!!

If you are unsure, I suggest activated oxine in the water instead of denagard. Activated oxine (chlorine dioxide) will clear out any viral load (microplasma).
In the past, denagard did nothing to help my flock. Once I moved to activated oxine, I have not had any issues.
