Hey y’all, I have 6 beautiful ladies that all seem to be sneezing. Not a lot, but enough that I noticed it. They all seem alert and fine… should I treat with denegard in case? I don’t want to make them sick if they don’t need the meds, but I don’t want them to suddenly get worse either.

Help?

Look at your coop ventilation, any dust or ammonia odors. Do they sneeze mostly when they are eating their feed? If they sneeze every few minutes around the clock, then there could be a virus called infectious bronchitis which spreads through the whole flock. Denagard does not treat viruses, nor do other antibiotics. If they just sneeze occasionally or more often, look for any bubbles in one eye, eyelid swelling, or crackles breathing. Those would be symptoms of MG, and that may respond to Denagard.
