Hey everybody I'm new to the farm and have a couple of questions I had two sets of guineas that both had baby Keets and one of them had about 10 or 12 all white cheats and I'm wondering what kind they may be the adults were pearls my second question is one of the white cheats is a lot smaller than the rest they're all about a month old and yet he is the exact same size he was when he was born while the rest of them can pretty much fly now he has just a few little feathers and is very very small if anybody could help me out that would be great

I'm not sure how Guinea Fowl genetics work, but possibly they were carrying a recessive gene that when doubled up, leads to another color.

As for the small keet, it sounds like it is "stunted" another word for the runt of the group. Genetics, or simply an unhealthy development in the egg (it can happen to any egg) can lead to poor growth. Stunted babies often remain small with few feathers but their head and beak may look too large for their bodies. Make sure they are warm and fed nutritious food. It may always be weak, or it may catch up to the others. I would not suggest breeding it, as it could pass on the genetics.

Hope this helps : )
