My favorite hen, Gabby, the BA, got into my German Shepherd's pen this morning. He is older and has worn all his teeth flat, but he has a very very hard grip. He spotted her about the same time I did and he had her. I got her away from him and she is not punctured anywhere, but she has problems standing and walking far.
I am really sick. I love that bird. I don't want to end it for her if I don't need to, but I also don't want her to be in pain which I am sure she is. I can move her into a rabbit cage with her own food and water- other than that, is there anything I can do to help her?
She is only a pullet, but she showed my family of non-farm people how tame and sweet chickens can be. She follows people around and askes to be picked up- thus the name gabby.
