Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Pics
awww!! yes, seeing it that way really is incredible! So what is its name??

I hatched this little fella today, Easter Sunday, in my shirt. He is a Karen baby so is at least a quarter Faverolle (Karen is half). He is a doll. I noticed him pipping and I so I brought the egg inside with me. I just had to experience the entire hatching process first hand.

I was originally naming him Easter but I couldnt resist....his name is Bondie. All the other chicks are black and white maybe with a little brown. Same mother, Karen, but being raised by my mothering hen, Woodstock

They are all five at least a quarter Faverolle though Blondie my be a product of Karen and my one half Faverolle roo, Much.

Hatching and then holding Blondie while he dried out was quite the experience. I rubbed his neck and talked him through it. Now when I hold him and talk and rub him he doesnt peep for his mama but instead just relaxes in my hands.

Awwwwwwwwwww

Blondie is adorable! Just be sure to introduce him to other chickens to socialize. If he turns out to be roo, and isn't socialized with chickens, he'll turn all his *ahem* love and attention inappropriately to you. A lady posted about a year ago here in the forums about that problem. She was quite beside herself about the terrible fate of her shoes.

Here is Blondie with her sibs and foster mama.

I may have been that woman you spoke of. Chickie has backed way off on the shoes though he still does it a bit with them. He has a large harem of hens now so he is busy with them more than my shoes.
