Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

You may need to click to see it bigger!

So, Panic Pants (the Rooster) is starting to feel his hormones, and is starting to (non-aggressively, despite my drawing above) go peruse a few of the hens occasionally. They have been accommodating, and the whole affair is very polite for the most part. I've seen it happen less than five times. So far, it's been.. okay. Derp tends to run, but that's just because she has no idea what is going on. That's normal.

Every time, Moa comes streaking out of nowhere, and body checks him off of his woman.
You have to realize, that Moa is by far the largest hen. She's also the top hen, and protective of the flock. She's so huge and fat and huge. It's incredible when she walks... when she runs it's as if the heavens are thundering.
After Panic gets body checked into orbit, Moa acts as if nothing happens and resumes doing normal, calm chicken Things.

Great drawings!

hahaha My Dark Cornish hen used to knock my young roo off the hens too at first, but not with a body slam! That would have been awesome :p

Now she spends most of her time with him. But he's a complete gentleman to her! No chasing or insisting for you, bud! If she has a headache, then you're just out of luck.

That's great to hear. I am hoping very much that Panic matures into a gentleman. I understand that hormones are going to fly while he's a teenager, though!
