Oh, I am so sorry Artsy... I have a serema hen that hasn't started laying yet... She fits in the palm of my hand... She is so delicate, I makes me want to make coop in the house for her and Fritz the Jerk

I just have mine free choice. The boys and the chicks don't really mess with it... But I have such a mixed flock too, that I do not want to add it directly to the food. The chicks don't need it and the roosters certainly do not need it either.
