Desert birds

I have found that the Naked Neck's do the best out here in our heat. Along with having less feathering on the neck, they also have less feathering on the body than the other breed's do. That helps to keep them cooler. They are also a good dual-purpose breed for meat and egg's. Mine lay large light brown egg's.

I have thoughts of crossing Turken and some other heat tolerant breeds to create a truly desert adapted chicken.
