I was wondering if this could possibly be an ideal design for a backyard chicken coop. It looks like it could be made of that spray foam that many use to make homemade coolers. Or, start with the standard framing and round it with spray foam...(after placement of windows, doors and ventilation etc.)

I want one!!

That's totally adorable!! I would think the spray foam would be okay but you'd need to make sure your chickens couldn't peck at or ingest any of it.

bet that is made from stucco, and yes dont let the birds near it or they will peck it if made of foam

Ok, good ideas... Perhaps if the inside was framed and covered with washable wallboard? Just to make that "outbuilding/coop" be a cute landscaping conception.

I'm glad you mentioned this...you've just given me a great idea! Our coop will look like a little barn and DH and I would talking about how cute a "silo" would be to go along with it. I suggested using a galvanized trash can with a tight fitting lid that we could actually use to store the feed in. We'd leave the lid, of course, but were wondering how to make the very top look rounded. I'm now thinking we could make a rounded shape out of wire and spray foam! It won't be anywhere near the girls so I'm thinking it should be great!
