How wide should i make my droppings /poop boards?
How wide should i put my roosts I am thinking 2 roosts

Hello, it would help if you could give and idea of what you coop will be like (A-frame, mobile, stationary, shed coop, etc.).

I have hatchery stock Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rocks. My droppings board runs the full length of my roost. It has a 2x4 frame. The roost is centered over it about 10" above. I've found that 99.9% of the poops land in a zone about 3 inches in. Every so often I find a poop or two that has landed on the lip that I have to scrape off. Next time I'll go a bit larger.

Here's a aerial pic with a yardstick for reference. You can clearly see where most of the poop falls.

I think so.(I like that your using feet/inches, being from England and all, it helps a lot not having to convert)

Mine is 2' wide with roost running down center 8" above board, catches 99% of them.
