Well guys, it has been 4 days since I posted my offer, so now what do we do?

ETA: I guess I could offer some eggs from my dad's birds, I'll just have to sneak them away!

Roos: RIR, white rock
HEns: RIR, light brahma, SLW (mostly RIR)

Not sure, but I think these would either be pure RIR or sexlinks. There are 3 RIR roos and 3 rock roos with about 30 RIR hens, 2 SLW hens, and one brahma hen. Any takers?

UGH!! that disapoints me bad! That was my first batch of eggs that I've ever shipped out. I packaged them exactly the way mine that was shipped to me. I hate that so bad. They must of been rough on them. how many does that leave you I forgot how many all together I sent???

That leaves me with 8 that weren't broken. I only have 1 that doesn't have 'yj' on it, so I am assuming the others were the broken ones

But it was the same problem that the last ones I got had, too many eggs in the box. It is better to leave some room surrounding the eggs, so if the box gets 'hit' from the side or top or whatever, there is something there that can give. The way you (and the other person I got eggs from on this swap) had them packed, the only thing that could give was eggs. But that's okay, I still got some out of it. Both of them were on the same side of the box.

Ok again I'm sorry expecially now that I know it was my mistake. Thanks for the tip. I may of over did it too with the air pack on top it made it kinda a tight fit.

Not your fault, it takes a lot of trial and error to get it right. It was a hit on the side of the box, in my opinion, and if there were a bit more space in there, they probably would have been fine. But the others were fine, so don't worry about it! The way my incubation experiences have been this winter, I'll probably end up killing them anyway

But swapping is fun, and it really helps if you get some to hatch!

ETA: We need to start shipping in wooden boxes, then we wouldn't have to worry about the box getting hit!

Shelly, I'll take your eggs.

My offer:

I want to say mine, but I have to gather my incubator first. Sweetshoplady, if you can delay gathering and shipping the eggs for a couple of weeks, I'd like them.
