Despite Weather...DBF...worked his butt off!!!

Although the weather is soooo not cooperating....my DBF...braved the cold...and made serious progress yesterday. We had mixed weather including some hail, but....I am soo happy and wanted to share....we have used recycled wood for the coop part and new treated lumber for the run, which we are planning on fixing so that the run can be enclosed during the winter months. But, I am full of mixed emotions as, my chicks have outgrown the original brooder and are now in a dryer box...weather is still cold here, but they are really just getting to big for my living room!!! Anyhoo, here is a peek....I am so proud of his work........
Thanks to OPA, for sharing the roll out nest box plans, DBF made me some...but added some of his own touches....happy, happy!!!

Soon, we shall begin the gruelling task of putting on the hardware cloth.....Oh my....not looking forward to that...but...we are def headed in the right direction....lots of work to do...but very happy with our progress!!!!

Thanks everybody...and I am proud....I am very lucky to be able to have chicks as DBF is not an animal lover, so....I am impressed with what he has done for me despite his dislike for animals, well actually...he likes animals...better if they are someone elses though. But, I have caught him on several occasions...peeking in the brooder....or asking me questions about my peeps, so maybe he will come around...anyhooo...I am pleased...it is def not a mansion, but he is def looking into what is important!!! The safety and well-being of my peeps, ahhhh I love him sooo and my coop too!!!

Oh I am so excited!!!! Even though the weather is so not on our side....the DBF did manage to get some things done on coop, and I managed to get 3/4 around the coop dug out to bury wire (et em I mean hardware cloth).....won't be long and we will be painting and getting the hardware cloth up!!! Looks better every day!!! Very excited and getting anxious....where is spring....

please tell me we are getting closer!!! And thanks for all the compliments, the DBF is wonderful and I am very happy with what he does for me!!! Here's a new pic !!!!
