Okay, first of all I have a used Lg still air that I bought with some chickens and feeders, etc. Well, I used it once and had a poor hatch. I stuck it in the barn loft for the winter where it was nibbled on by rats who ate two holes in it. So when I got it back out I figured it was ruined, but I wanted to make sure. i lined the bottom with water filled ziploc bags to help hold the temp since the holes were fairly large in the side. I also covered it with a towel to keep down drafts and I also used the dry method, and only turned for the first 10 days. Well, I started with it in the bathroom until it kept getting unplugged(happened twice, no idea for how long either time) . So I moved it to my bedroom where the baby(2 years) found it and broke an egg with a baby chick in it and spread it all over the other eggs. After that I moved it to the other bathroom where today the first chick hatched. It is a beautiful gray ameracaunaX and seems to be very healthy. Everything in the world went wrong and here it is. Isn't it amazing what can happen?
