I got em in a carton now, figured I'd lay them down at lockdown. Is that a good plan under the circumstances? I want to give them the best chance!

I always set my ducks eggs in the bator lying down for the whole incubation period. I found I got better hatch rates with them in the more natural possition then standing up in the auto turner.
I never had particulaly good hatch rates from eggs with a floating air cell - But thats the risk you take with shipping eggs.

Good luck with yours.

I had several detached air cells in the last eggs I incubated. I kept them in the turner and when I took the turner out I put them upright in an egg carton and they all hatched fine. Good luck!!!
