I just thought I would share my experience .. I was so excited to receive my eggs I had ordered an assortment of colored egg layers and counted down the days until I got them my first hiccup was that my post office didn't handle the package with care and had the package upside down for i dokt know how long ... I rushed home and instead of letting them set at room temp I had decided to set them in the incubator and not turn them the first 3 or so days .. once I got home and unpacked them I had ordered 9 eggs and received 12!!! I immediately checked the eggs for cracks then gently sat them in the incubator . I realized that I made a huge mistake around day 7 or 8 ... I didn't let my eggs settle with the pointy end down so the air sac stayed positioned on the side of the egg so I thought all hope was lost until day 12 I checked on everyone and all of the eggs but 4 that I had marked with x's had a lot of veins and the chicks were active so i kept my fingers crossed well Friday marked lock down day so I quit turning them snd just hoped well this morning I went to feed my 4 week old chicks that are in a broader in the same room as my incubators and I kept hearing muffled chicks I completely forgot about the eggs being close to hatchimg but I lifted the lid and there were 2 healthy chicks!!!! I listened to the other eggs and all the others are internally pippolimg other than the 4 I assumed would not make it so I just wanted to share my experience that even if the air sac never reconnects to the top of the egg don't give up hope because I nearly did and now I have 2 healthy chicks and 7 more in the process of hatching and every single one of them have a saddle shaped air sac good luck hatching
