Hi everyone!

I got chickens last year, 6 Rhode Island Red hens.

This year we got 3 black marans pullets and 3 unsexed light brahmas. I was hoping for a cockerel and 2 pullets but the jury is still out on that. (Go check out my thread on that!)

We have turned one of our sheds into a chicken mansion and built a huge 24’ x 12’ run for them. I’d love to let them free range, but with our lab who is trained to hunt pheasant that is just not an option.

Hi and welcome love your run! We made a big one too because our friendly raccoons love chickens too ,

Have fun !!

I’m hoping you are adding a wire “skirt” around the bottom of your run? The hens will dig out of that the predators will definitely get in that run ......

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

I think we are all a little crazy around here. Love your run! I have a monster run too due to too many predators lurking. My chickens love the space and so do I.

Welcome aboard, we saved a spot on the roost bar for you! :)

Welcome to Backyard Chickens!:frow Glad you joined the flock! BYC is a very helpful and informative about poultry! You have a wonderful coop for the chickens! Looks like you can raise a large flock with a coop that size! They are spoiled! Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!
