Developmental delay?

That is a possibility...and I guess being so small means it might be something the others can't fit in. Although she also has no tail, just a downy fluffy tuft

Everything seems pretty chilled in the run, I've had a good watch, she happily eats and drinks even with the big girls around. She's the blog perching on the log

She might be slow to mature regarding size and slow feather development. I have seen multiple chicks half the size of their flockmates and sprout up equal in a heartbeat. Although I do not oppose of the fact that it may be a genetic mutation and she might be a bantam.

Ahhhh, here we go, I commented on the post on this girl in the other forum.

If you got her from a breeder, that explains it. Better bred Barred Rocks feather in much more slowly, they also mature slower. She's totally normal. Bit of a shame her legs aren't yellow, but otherwise I thought the barring looked rather nice for a hatchery bird.

It's a pullet, the black bars being twice as wide as the white confirm that.

So out of curiosity i checked out lots of the breeders photos, looks like she has both grey and yellow legs, but her hens are really dark, so not sure on the barring pattern of this one.
