I am, feathering suggests a boy when I look up dark barred, didn't realise there was a difference, sorry!

The first picture of it makes me think it has some Naked Neck in it.

So update, at 19 weeks, it appears it's a girl! Yay! It's unfortunately a bit mean. She keeps attacking me But still no comb or wattles, and no pointy hackle feathers either. Apparently she just doesn't like me at the top of the pecking order

Is that the same chicken in the first picture? Odd that she seems to have normal feathering now, with how unusual it was before.

So I remembered that my past barred were also developmentally delayed some although not as drastically as yours, and I know some heritage breeds are slower growing, so could it just be a breed characteristic ? Ive had less than five of these girls over 10 years lol so I'm curious as to what others think? But I found a pic of my last barred who looked around 1-3 weeks behind developmentally vs all my other chicks till around 8+ weeks so now I'm curious!
