It was recommended to me to deworm my laying chickens with "safeguard". This is a equine dewormer and a gave each chicken a very small dose. Afterward I saw a warning on the label that the product is not to be used on horses intended for food. The chickens are not going to be food, but their eggs will be (they are still a little too young to lay). The person who made the recomendation does not eat the eggs of his chickens. Should I not use this product anymore in the future? Any advice on what product to use?
