Any natural ways to deworm chickens? And if there is how do I use it? And do u have to worm baby chickens and how often do you have to worm adult chickens or baby chickens?

You don't have to deworm baby chicks unless you actually see the worms in their waste. For adult chickens, it's the same, but most people like to deworm their chickens twice a year just in case. I found out from this website that garlic is a natural dewormer. You can crush it up and put it in their water to clean them out or you can chop up some bananas and sprinkle some garlic powder on them and feed it to your flock. You do NOT have to buy the expensive dewormer chicken feed.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

It is not necessary to worm baby chickens. And you don't need to worm unless you see evidence of worms in your birds. You can also take a poop sample to a vet to see just what you are dealing with.

As for natural wormers, I have never used them. If you have a serious case of worms, you will need to turn to chemicals to rid your birds of worms.

Good luck and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

You don't have to worm you babies. I've heard that pumpkin seeds can help prevent worms but don't cure them.

Good luck and glad you joined!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! There is a thread on some organic methods people have tried
https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...und-in-poop-must-i-deworm-i-try-to-be-organic Taking stool samples to the vet is probably the surest way to know what you are dealing with, many people just routinely worm their flocks once or twice a year, especially if their birds have had worms before and will pick them up again on their property.
