Deworming poults? Yes or no?

Keep turkeys and chickens on the same free range (10 acres with lots of “hideouts”)?

I have an affliction. I’m a clean freak. It extends to my coops. I have 8 - 8 week old poults and 7 - 16 week mixed breed chickens. They’ve been side by side for months now. I clean both coops twice daily. Sometimes this means I’m out cleaning until well after midnight. My point is - it’s always really clean. You can’t even smell birds. I also rake the run every other day.

I recently started turning the turkeys out in the chicken run where they were house until they started rearranging. I raked it very well and it’s been two weeks and I haven’t seen any signs of black head. Now that the polls are old enough to start rearranging on a limited basis and supervised, I’m reading more and more about blackhead. Should I be D worming my turkeys or are they in the clear if they haven’t shown signs thus far? And if so, what dewormer is suggested? And how often?
Note: I have not heard of blackhead in my area but was told by someone at the mill they had it and lost one mature turkey about 15 miles away. I did check with the DNR and they had no reported cases near me.

It doesn't hurt if you are worried about worms. Maybe I'm confused as to what you are asking.
I am concerned about black head through the worms and I’ve read that if you keep a mixed flock, you should do you worm the pool to try and prevent blackhead. Although I haven’t had any problems thus far and they share the same run I just keep it very clean f I am concerned about blackhead through the worms and I’ve read that if you keep a mixed block you should deworm the poults to try and prevent blackhead. Deworming never hurts.
By the way, after I completely humiliated myself with voice dictation on the stupid - and clearly deaf- Iphone, on the super meme er appreciation post, I wanted to give you a shout out (although after what my phone claimed I said I’m not sure I’d want to be affiliated with me in any way. Thank god the members are lighthearted!) anyway, I learned there’s a place for nominations. I intend to nominate you as an educator once I’m home. Lord knows I won’t be talking into the phone for a long, long time to type what I say for me.

If you want to buy a de-wormer that will treat all worms get Safeguard or Valbazen.
The Safeguard dose I use is 0.23 ml per pound orally for five consecutive days. That dose will treat large roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms, gapeworms, and some species of tapeworms.

The Valbazen dose I use to treat all worms is 0.08 ml per pound orally for three consecutive days. That dose will also treat large roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms, gapeworms, and some species of tapeworms.

Wazine only treats large roundworms, it will not treat cecal worms!
