Deworming the flock

I'm deworming my flock of turkeys and chickens. We've had them on lockdown for 3 days. I'm putting the wormer Safe-Gaurd in their only source of water (fresh everyday). Do I have to keep them in there to worm them again in 10 days? Can I let themm out to free range in-between?
