Does anyone know the proper dosage for deworming regular size chickens with the Safe-Guard Pellets? Thank you.

:welcome!

Are you planning to separate each chicken out and get them to eat the correct amount of pellets per bird separately? Otherwise, if you had just planned to mix it into a communal feeder, there's no guarantee each bird is actually getting enough dewormer.

For chickens, the dose of Safeguard is 15 to 20 mg/kg given for three consecutive days to kill all worm types.

Thank you so much. It seems to me it would be difficult to separate my girls and I ended up setting up a vet appointment for the one I know has worms and hope to get some type of dewormer from the vet that will be easier to administer for them all. So now that I know there are worms, I am horrified we have been eating her eggs all along... are we going to be sick??
