I have six three week old chicks. Two of them are gold laced and the others are barred rocks. When should I deworm. For what parisites and what brand is ur choice. I NEED HELP!!! I love my babies and want them to live health lives. Thanks :)

Is this your first flock?

Have you ever had worm eggs in your soil before (chickens sick with worms on your property)?

If you have never had a problem with worms, I would wait. Let their organs develop.

You can even have poo tested by a vet for worms later on (false negatives are possible with the worms test) when they are older.

This is my first flock. Thanks for the insite. Non of them look sick or act sick.

Things to look for with worms are skinny hens, depression, diarrhea.

Your babies are still in the coccidiosis danger zone though, so diarrhea and lethargy
would easily be coccidiosis at their age. In fact I would automatically assume cocci instead of worms if you mentioned diarrhea at their age.

And keep in mind too that every 8th poo or so is supposed to be a runny poo (normal) called a caecal poo. This is found in chickens normally.

Here is a helpful diagnosis chart website (charts at bottom of page) for future use:
