I am so happy DH is finally getting the coop built , my chickies have been in temporary housing.
And I just found out that my ducklings next door have hatched, my cousins duck was setting on eggs
Is it best to let mama raise them for a while, I hope so cause I'm not ready for baby ducks

yeah coop buliding! our bantam silkie/cochins lived in temporary housing for about a month before our coop went up. And now they never go in their coop!!! Ha!

oh no , they are so good about going in their temp housing but that will be attached to the coop. They are in their run which is off the ground and covered big chicken wire box which I have 2 covered storage boxes in and a tarp over half of it.for shade
They free range during most of the day and go to bed all by themselves.
But now they will have a coop with a window and roosts and nest boxes, I hope they like it.
