LOL Please know that I'm laughing with you all & I don't mind saying I started laughing at the sight of the title of this thread..... I know that feeling when I've stayed awake too late on an auction & then have to explain to hubby why these eggs were "a deal" or "needed" or an experiement" etc. etc. I hadn't thought of "I'm holding them for a friend" but thanks to the person who gave me that one....
And to the OP yes they complain etc. but they ARE enablers & really if our biggest vise is wanting to hatch out some chicken eggs (or whatever kind of eggs) then we can't be all that bad..... I mean it's not like we can't stop ourselves from buying designer clothing or purses/shoes etc... All we want is to hatch out some eggs....
I'm sure that's what comes across their minds when they get the email saying "I won this auction honey" & they write back "about the eggs no problem"
Frankly I'm just happy to hear I'm not alone in this obcession with hatching eggs...
I started my incubator up on March 7 for 2 dozen eggs then my hens and ducks started laying. My incubator hasn't been off since. I also ordered some guinea and turkey eggs. Since I was complaining that my hovabator was too small for all the eggs I had, my DH bought me a cabinet incubator. He likes me having a hobby that I enjoy.
