I have a similar pix of my DH with the yellow lab we rescued a few months ago -- they are taking a nap together and DH has his arm wrapped around the dog! I'm saving it just in case he yaps about not liking the dog

Not sure how much fact this is, but a woman that works for the DA's office in my county, she claimed that when the FBI/CIA test, one question is 'are you a dog or cat person'.
Apparently a dog person goes with the pack, loyal. (not a bad thing) and a cat person is independent and able to watch, waiting for that moment to look into things.

(I don't even have a clue how to find out if it was true! lol)
