Diamond Duchess Temperament

I have 2 Diamond Duchess. Let me tell you I have never had sassier chickens. Their curious, kinda friendly, if try to give them food by hand they'll take your finger with it. They're always pecking at the other chickens, especially at night time. I understand pecking order, but they've taken it to another level. Wondering if anyone else's DD'S are like this
Both are 17 weeks.

I don’t have Diamond Duchesses, but I do have a Barred Rock, who I would guess has some common ancestry with DD’s?

We don’t currently have a pecking order, and none harass the others, but she is definitely food-driven and will happily try to remove any human body parts associated with a treat.

Mine’s neither sweet nor easy-going! She’s not mean, but she’s… anxious? Can pullets be anxious? And very hyper.

Diamond Duchess is a new one for me. Are they some sort of OE/EE? What hatchery do they come from?

They're hybrid breed only from Family Farm and Home. Not sure what they're mixed with some say Barred Rock, their color patterns and Cream Legbar for the crest on the head and laying a variety of colored eggs. Mine haven't started laying yet, but I've seen people who have blue and greens. Mine don't look like Barred Rock. Their more black with light spots of off white. And very sassy.

I have a sapphire sky that is like that and she always late to the party. Last one out last one in, last one if bring a treat out, she'll be chasing a fly while everyone's getting there snack on.

Well, Trudy (the BR) has certainly never missed a meal, but she’s definitely had some late ones, because as soon as she sees a flock sister eating, Trudy will abandon her food or treat to steal her sister’s, and then drop that to get back her original bit that the third pullet is now trying to eat. It’s a wonder that she eats more calories than she burns, with all that running around. If in fact she does.

Well, Trudy (the BR) has certainly never missed a meal, but she’s definitely had some late ones, because as soon as she sees a flock sister eating, Trudy will abandon her food or treat to steal her sister’s, and then drop that to get back her original bit that the third pullet is now trying to eat. It’s a wonder that she eats more calories than she burns, with all that running around. If in fact she does.

That must hilarious to watch. I can actually picture it in my head.
