Hope that somebody can help me to find out what's going on with a few guinea fowl chicks that got a kind of diarrea and its seems that the last end of their intestines pop out of their cloaca and after a few days they died.
I spoke to a vet but he told me that he doesnt know much about birds...
Well, he told me to give enrofloxacin in water (1cc in 1 liter of water) but didnt help much.
I got the chicks through incubation and after 4 weeks I set them free since I live in a farm.so lets say they are free range birds.
Took 2 pictures to show if anibody would like to see them and help me out.
Thank you very much.

This is coccidiosis. Go get you some corid and start adding it to the water immediately. Also be sure you clean and sterilize whatever they are in.

Sorry to hear of your losses. Coccidia is one reason birds may develop diarrhea. Diarrhea from any cause can lead to prolapses, and also may cause death if the birds get sick enough. I would consider it a symptom and try to find why it happened. Take a fecal sample to your vet, they can check for bird parasites just the same was as for other animals. You might post in the Guinea section of the Forum and ask about causes of diarrhea in keets.
