So I have 3 Rhode island reds that's about 5 months old. And we adopted 3 older hens that's are laying, I was getting about 2 eggs a day and then all of a sudden they stopped laying, I'm getting 1 egg every other day to every 2 days... They have diarrhea (straight water) and their butts are a little dirtier than usual today I noticed all 3 of my big momma's sorta "pushing" or puckering their butts constantly. They've always been a bit broody and don't like my baby mammas but they tolerate them. They still eat and drink just fine. What could this be?? Coccidiosis?

Could be worms if it's all of them. Never seen cocci cause puckering YET.

What are you feeding including treats and supplements, and how has your weather been? Sometimes hot weather induces excess drinking which lead to watery stools but wouldn't explain the puckering.

5 month old RIR should be laying... are you sure of their age? Can you post a pic? How old are your three "older" laying hens? I'm guessing by "have always been a bit broody", you mean bossy? How long since you added the 3 older hens? Do you know what breed your big mama's are? How much space for your 6 ladies?

I meant about 3 months.. not 5 sorry!
I do not know how old the older hens are, a friend's mother had a stroke and couldn't care for them any more so we took the 3 that was left. And yes they are bossy, o have no idea how old my big ladies are or what breed, they lay blue//green eggs and brown eggs. we had them separated for the first 2 weeks from the babies but put them together about 3 weeks ago in a 7 by 8 pin with a top deck in it (it's temporary till bigger one is done)
It's been close to 90 here with rain on and off for the past 2 weeks. I can take pics and post first thing in the morning so you can see them
