So I guess it comes down to how you raise them and hope for the best personality-wise. I raised a few roosters as pets and they all turned out different, though we raised them the all the same. Hopefully I will get a couple of Aflacks.

This is making me re-think my duck purchase....LOL I have 2 Cayugas that I got for the girls, they are about 6 weeks now. I hope they turn out to like us. My 15 yo ADORES them, and she has been really good about taking care of them for the most part. We are getting ready to move them to outside pen, if I can ever get the thing built. When you are 'under the gun' so to speak, it is hard to figure out where to start! I have ordered the hardware cloth, but waiting for it to come in is really pushing my time constraints. Oh, did mention that I actually ordered 4, and 2 died in shipping. Now I am going to have the 2 I have now, and 2 babies coming....tomorrow, the replacements, not to mention the chicks I had ordered with the original order, they died too during that shipment. UGH, no where to put any of them. LOL gotta laugh, is all I can do at this point.

Q: can I put new chickies in the same brooder with the ones that my broody hatched out a few weeks back?
i'm panicking because I am going into 928 sq ft house, and plain don't have room for the duck tent, and 3 brooders.....
