Here's a few of my other birds.

You guys seem to like the gold laced pattern, so here's my golden laced cochin bantam. Her name is goldilocks and she's 3 months old.

Hey Sally, here's my Black Betty. A 4 year old black LF cochin hen.

Here's Lucy (the turkey).


Lastly, here's Alexander. He's still not eating very well. He's losing weight and getting weaker every day. I'm not sure how much longer he has.


His top beak is overgrown and he bottom beak is still messed from the fight.

Going to switch feed on all my chickens again.

Trying to get away from Purina. Anybody ever use Southern States All-Grain feed? Bought a bag of chick/starter today. And it's medicated. The only one they had for chicks.

But there ordering me 100 lbs of the All-Grain meat maker. That's what I'm going to feed the chicks and roos with. Then the All-Grain Layer/breeder for the laying hens. Cheaper than Purina and from what I can find on it others really like it.

Hey Sally, when resting your FF, does water come to the top? Is that natural? Or do I need more feed if that does that??

I have had a 6 pack of Guiness Black Label for almost a year, I have 1 or 2 bottles left, and it probably cost about $10. I successfully treated 1 dog of heart worms and all of my dogs seem much healthier, my chickens haven't gotten worms since I started and I don't have to throw away eggs during treatment, it's great! I know I might catch some flack for treating my pets with beer but it really does work. I'm not sure about giving it to a pregnant or nursing dog but it might be worth looking in to. Hope it helps.

The only reason it has lasted this long is because hubby is deployed & I'm a vodka girl lol

I use SS all grain & my chickens love it. I didn't buy the medicated chick feed so I'm going to use ACV until it runs out & I buy more.
