Actually I have 6. Here's 4 examples. Seems to be chicks inside. I just got rid of 14 eggs after I candled. Gosh I have bad luck with shipped eggs. Especially California eggs.

Oh, Congrats !!!! Candling is sooo.. much more fun when it's your own egg!!

Is it odd on a day 5 candle to see LOTS of veins but no embryo? Its not dark enough for a picture yet. I am starting to think I have some early quitters

Nope, not odd! Happens to all of the ones I had in a carton.

We had a freak out last night ... DS was trying to be helpful and tried to turn the incubator down ... without asking .... because the temp was a little high .... he accidentally increased instead of decreasing .... i went in about 45 minutes later and just happened to stop by and check the bator ... 115 degrees !!!

i freaked out as these are the semi expensive eggs that are chicks DH really really really wants !!!! I got temps back down and believe it or not when I candled tonight all I had to pull was a question mark one that was clear a few days ago !!!

Well, thank goodness they're okay! I did that once too, but not such high temps. Now, I do a double take every time I go to adjust it.

I like Saucy secretary. Lol

I liked her too! DH was like, WTH is that??? Funny.

What kind of chicken is the 3rd one down? I do love the coloring on it.

They are silkie crosses! They have grown so much since these pictures. They are all starting to get fluffy heads!

well. my eggs came. 9 out of 15 had moving air cells. 1 was cracked. guess this batch will really test my incubation skills!

Set 25 eggs again today. Let the count down begin once again. Maybe be the last for awhile. Fenced in the 32x64 area for the roos. But will be chick haven for awhile. Until I get the hens side done.

Building the 6x6 roo house today. But going to move the Production roo back there to give my poor girls a break from him. Let there feathers regrow. He was back there yesterday all day, he was none to happy to be without his girls. Well he better get use to it. LOL. Even though I have 1 hen I can actually pickup so I put her back there with him for awhile. I'm just a softy!!

Good luck with your eggs! I sent my Roo, Bubba, to his new farm last week..guess he's lovin it! Felt bad the first couple nites tho, the ladies left his spot open on the roost! They seem to be ok with it all tho...and hopefully they'll get some of those feathers back!!! LOL Poor nekked girls!

Sally. What do I do with my saddle shaped eggs? I've got about 8 out of this last batch of shipped eggs. Tomorrow is lockdown.

I have about the same amount going in lockdown on Sunday and would like to know too.
