Quote: I really worked for me! We had mites and fleas on and off over the years and it helped with both. I recently had the cats deposit whatever little bugs they cart around with them on my bed, from where it got into my clothes... And those things bit me! I ended up soaking everything, all my clothes and linen in the carbaryl water and the bugs are gone! Love that stuff :)

How easily do those kennels go back together? I seen a 10x20 one in pottsville but its still up and I dont know the foggiest on how they are put together. Was it a pain?

I found one of my best silver laced cochin bantam hens lying in the coop motionless yesterday. I brought her inside to warm up and she slowly perked up, but her feathers wouldn't dry, so I gave her a bath this morning.

You know how I've been dealing with a bad mite infestation? Well it's not over. Nothing I try is working. As I gave her a bath, I came across thousands of mites.

I felt crawly afterwards, but I figured it was just my imagination. I started feeling them on my face, but I still thought it was just my imagination. Then I looked into the mirror. Ugg! They were on my face! At least 5 of them! Then I looked at my arms... sure enough, there they were. I hate mites.

yuk!!! I cant even imagine!!! Are mites that visable? I thought they were tiny things you cant even see! goes to show what I know! I did read that in the winter they are really bad???

Well, it's day 24 and egg #8 pipped

The other 7 chicks are doing very well.

ETA: Hatched about 20 minutes ago. What a happy-go-lucky chick this one! Cheep-cheep "I'm happy!" sounds all the way and POP out of the egg, it laid flat on it's back for a few seconds and cheep-cheep happy sounds again.
YAY!!!

Tomorrow is the big day, I wish they would have emailed me the lab results friday. Wish us NPIP luck!

best of luck!

on the dog kennels, mine just have clamps with one bolt in them. its handy to have 2 people but one person can set up most 10x10s pretty easily. that one being a 10x20, im guessing you would have to have 2 people.

are they hard to take apart if I go to someone elses house I dont want to go unprepared!

i can only answer about mine LOL, but no, a ratchet with 1/2 socket and 1/2 wrench. if the 20 foot sides are 2- 10 foot panels, im guessing you can have it apart and loaded and strapped down within an hour.

They're pretty simple. Most of my set up is made of chain link dog kennel panels. I re-arrange them and move them by myself all the time.

They're small. I guess you need fairly good eyesight to see them. I thought I was imagining the creepy crawly feeling at first, but I looked closer, and I saw them!

Nope, like loveourbirds said, bring a wrench and a few sockets and you should be able to figure it out. The panels usually aren't too heavy.

I recommend bringing a set of sockets. I've noticed with my dog kennel panels I have clamps with 3 different sized bolts. The clamps work for all of panels, but they require different sized sockets.
