It's balmy 39* here right now with a steady drop in temp through tonight by midnight Tuesday it will be -10* and will feel like -35 in the wind. Glad I have the next 2 days off. Should have not made that hair appt for Tuesday.
I also broke down and gave my d'Uccles heat and put everyone in one coop, heated water and feed already in coop, no one is getting out. Layers will have a timed 150 watt bulb and not get out ( the turkeys may change my mind though) and the Silkied Feathered Ameraucana's have rope lights around their roost and are not getting out, everyone is on lock down until Wednesday,

it only is at 30 here and its iced terrible. only vehicle on the road up the mnt is salt truck that I seen. they said it would be 40, not knowing where that temp is at, obviously still over with you guys!! they suggested Rain tonight and tomorrow not this crud! It is gorgeous being iced though, I love lookin into the woods at night at the neighbor in the distance has a bright light and it shines all the way through like a tunnel of crystals, so pretty!

I am sleeping on the couch tonight, too comfy and warm to leave it! plus I have a feeling two rugrats are in my spot in bed this night! Have a great SAFE warm night y;all good luck with all the critters too

Quote: I love the ice, just as long as I can stay in the house. Which it is my day off so safe today and tommorow.
People are nuts. You would believe we are going to be stuck inside for a month. Don't people have food in their houses? All I wanted was lasagna, BF asked if I would make it and I said sure. The store was ridiculous, what I saw in the carts was lots of junk food, good for my job, not so much to live on. It is cold and windy here.

Anyone have any input on how to figure pricing for chicks as local pick up? I am hatching CCL WFS and serama I want to be fair on price but I cant keep giving my birds away. PM me if you can give me some ideas on how to charge please!
