I have a bator full of Brahma, CCL and a few serama...... Lockdown is Tomorrow.... Anyone else have any due?

Also

oz and Nikki..... and those who incubated cold eggs or fridge eggs

have you ever had any ill effects of embryo growth incubating cold eggs? nothing different at hatch or anything? I am asking because of the gel like substance with my last hatch, and those eggs were collected the week of those cold spells here in PA.... I do understand that I was running a tad higher humidity but my gut tells me there is more to that gel than that.... it was a clear yellow goldish colored chopped up jello,

well most of my last fridge eggs didn't make it 3 did.- I had them in laundry room strayed from dry hatch and was candling too much- bad bad-

This hatch I used fresh- although it is cold here too, moved them to a proven hatch room and I will be gone 3 days before hatch, back day of hatch- so hopefully it will keep me off the eggs.

Go into the assist article and follow it for the rest of the eggs.....  tap listen look for internal pips is first, then follow it and if your at the point of float testing, float them.... link in my siggy  And congrats!

Checked the rest of my eggs and 5 were no good and two dead. My last two chicks that hatched have bad leg problems. Read how to help them but I don't think it's going to work :( so upset because I really hate to have to cull them. Oh the ups and down of hatching babies.

more heat needed for your eggs.

Yea I thought that might be the problem from what I read. I have the little giant still air and kept my temp about 100- then read it should be kept at 102. Cleaning the bator tonight and gonna get my temp right and get ready to set eggs again. I did get 4 healthy ones just hate that it was bc of something I did to cause them to be messed up. :(

Oil in a puddle, it just dont go away until the soil soaks it up.

hey sumi girl, u ok?
