Diary & Notes ~ Air Cell Detatched SHIPPED Chicken Eggs for incubation and hatching

Just set @ 10:00 p.m. eastern time 11 sweedish flowering henn, 12 light sussex, an 7 kaki campbell. They were boughten off of ebay (three auctions and two different sellers). This is my second hatch and second homemade incubator.This will be the first hatch for this bator! I had designed it for 24 eggs, however the generous folks I purchase from sent extrass! Instead of the 8 sussex and 6 sfh I bought i got 23 total, and the ducks came one extra. I had to quickly modify inucbator. We are running at 99 +/_ and 35 percent. Taking notes as this is partly a homeschool project, personel project for me , and a x- mas present.

Oh Good luck!! Can we see your bator, alot of us made our bator! I have ancona in for the BYC NYDay hatchalong.... all chickens finished up hatching today and are still drying off...

My humidity is at 49-50%, is this ok for first 18 days?

I can't stop watching my bator!! I even named the tiniest egg Timmy, lol

So we went to a Christmas party for 5 hours ..I thought by the time I returned that chirping egg would of had some crack at least...??? How long can the be like this? I am on day 21...when do I start to worry?

Yes that is fine. some people run lower for a dry incubation, I run mine at 50% 1-18 then 65% at lockdown
